Full Tilt’s Rush Poker a Pokerdog’s Perspective
I finally tried Full Tilt Poker’s newest feature Rush Poker. It is really fast paced and exciting! I tested it out with $5 and quickly turned it into $18 in 10 minutes. When you are seated you play the hand then upon completion the entire table of players move to other tables. There is also a feature to fold immediately and you will be moved from that table to another. At first I was confused by all the quick action and tried to figure out the stragedy to rush poker. Then I realized that with the quick fold option players were just folding until they had quality hands. I then started to loosen up my hand requirements in particular when in the SB and the BB. In one hand for instance I was dealt 9 10 off in the BB when a player in middle position raised to 3x the blind I called. The Flop was 3 10 9 rainbow. I checked my 2 pair and the player shoved all in for $4.00 more . The player tabled KK and was tabled when the hand didn’t improve. In my opinion the fact that you are playing new players every hand makes it even more challenging since you can build a play history on the other players at the table.

What Goes up Must Come Down!!

I cashed in the $12000.00 Guarantee on Full Tilt!!
Last night I cashed in the $12000.00 Guarantee on Full tilt. It is rebuy tournament with an initial $5 buy in and $5 rebuys and an add on of $5 at the 6th level. I was actually knocked out in the 2nd hand I played when my AK was busted by 94 off suit. On Tilt I decided to rebuy and I made it to the addon period and added on for another $5. I was playing really well and grinded it out to the final 18 of the over 1200 players. Once I made it to the final 18 I then loosend up again and played aggressively to the final 9. At the final 9 I was 6th in chips. However this is a 6 max event so every table has only 6 players including the final table. I ended up finishing in 8th place when I shoved my pocket 4s into the Big stacks KQ off suit. Not my normal play but when the Big stack made a week raise I shoved on that player only to watch a Q turn on the board to end my run. I ended up with $388.00 for my $15 investment so it was still a nice finish!

Atlantic City trip report!!
I went to AC this weekend to see my parents. They are both from Texas but enjoy playing the machines in the casinos.They flew into the Atlantic City airport so my wife and I drove in to see them. We stayed at the Tropicana Casino which my wife and I had never stayed at but I do like the Poker Room there so we have been to the casino a few times. They also have some nice resturants Carmines and the popular PF Changs.
The casino has really improved since their major remodel a few years back and is styled after the French Quarter in Orleans I think. The room was Okay nothing to write home about which was probably not a big deal anyway since my Parents saw it too. LOL. I had a great time in the Poker Room though playing some $2/$4, and $3/$6 Limit holdem and also some $1/$ No limit. I lost a couple hundred bucks which is not bad since at my level I dont plan on making millions of dollars I just enjoy playing cards. I really enjoy playing live in AC especially on the weekends when you can honestly watch all types and all skill levels of players. From the Sharks to the Fish. the Rocks and the Jackals its great, My favorites are the players that act like fish, then show they are trully Sharks when they drag in the big pots!!! This Saturday and Sunday were no exception especially since Tropicana offers a BadBeat jackpot which was over $140,000.00. This usually has all the early birders( seniors) and the wanabees and all the other types of players hoping to get a piece of the action. Overall I had a great time with my wife and parents in Atlantic City. Good times , Good Food with the best of Company. Id like to take this time in my Blog and thanks my parents for coming from Texas for a visit!! Thanks.
Next time we will have to take another trip to Vegas!!
